The experience that I've had while doing my under graduation from NATHM have provided me with all the knowledge and skills that are required in the industry. My internship was at Suruchi Tours & Travels and Nepal Airlines Corporation. I was very nervous at the beginning, but my manager, supervisors and colleagues were so friendly and helpful making me much more confident. I am honored to be the first one to receive Pasang Lahmu Sherpa Award (a Gold Medal) for topping in my batch. It was really an encouragement and appreciation for all my hard work and efforts.

Before joining NATHM College, I was totally unknown about the tourism. But after joining this college I found that tourism plays the vital role in the economy as well as I found that in my own country Nepal, there are lots of natural and cultural & heritage resources which are liked by the people of the other countries. Today I am also helping in the tourism field being a part of Yeti Travels Pvt. Ltd. and serving the lots of resources to the tourists. At last I feel pride to being a part of NATHM College which helps me to go to the right direction.

SUGAM RAYA
Position: Ticketing Officer

Sugam Raya has worked in Travel Field for 6 months. It has been 3 years that he is working as a Ticketing Officer in Venture Travel & Tours. He was working in Tourism Industry before he joined NATHM. His aim was to strengthen his practical knowledge with the well balanced knowledgeable course in NATHM. He has also undergone various trainings which are required for travel agencies. He has also participated as a Travel Consultant in various Programmes like WWF Conference, IUCN Conferences etc.

ANITA DANGOL
Position: Reservation Agent
Company: Qatar Airways, Hattisar
Batch: 1st

During her course in NATHM, she did her internship in Vista Travel & Tours, Kamaladi. Then she joined Cathay Pacific Airlines as an Assistant Reservation Officer and she continued with her studies as well. She worked there for a year. After graduating, she was
offered a position of Reservation Agent in Qatar Airways, Hattisar.

She says, "The biggest thing I took from my experience is that the honest hard work you put in will be seen. Thanks a lot to NATHM family for helping and guiding me. Working at one of the best airways, I have gained much more technical knowledge and improved my communication skills".

RABINA SHRESTHA

During BTTM course in NATHM, Rabina did her internship in Lalima Travels & Tours and Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation. After graduation, she worked as an Interpreter for hotel management course in Everest Manpower & Training Centre, New Baneshwore for 6 months. Then, she joined Sunshine Lhasa Travels, Lazimpat as a Ticketing Officer. Currently, she has been working as a Sales Executive in Worldspan in Thapathali and also looking after Help Desk Management.

Imesh Pokhrel
Position: Manager on Duty (MOD)
Company: China Eastern Airlines
Batch: 4th

Imesh Pokhrel, a BTTM Graduate from NATHM is the single person who is handling the China Eastern Airlines' flights from the Kathmandu station. Imesh did his higher secondary level from Classic Academy and then completed Bachelor in Travel and Tourism Management (BTTM) from NATHM in 2009. He was very lucky to become a paid intern in Nepal Airlines as a Ground Handling Agent for about 2 years where he showed his best performance which was appreciated by his team. As soon as he finished his BTTM, he was offered the career in China Eastern Airlines; he is now a Manager on Duty (MOD) there. He has different trainings namely the 'Danger Goods Regulation Training' from Nepal Airlines Corporation, 'Security Awareness Program from Etihad Airlines and 'Detecting Passport and Visa Training' from British Embassy. He also has an Appreciation letter from the Gulf Airlines for detecting a fake Passport and Visa of a passenger travelling with Gulf Airlines.

Rupak Kunwar
Position: Customer Service Officer

Batch: 4th

Rupak Kunwar from 4th Batch of BTTM from NATHM is currently working in the Customer Service division at the Airport with FlyDubai. He did his Bachelors in Travel and Tourism (BTTM) from NATHM e worked as an intern staff under Nepal Airlines Corporation at Tribhuvan International Airport since 2008 while he was doing his BTTM in NATHM in which he was handled the work of a Cargo Supervisor in Cargo Department for 10 months. Mr. Kunwar has participated in conferences like India YMCA in 2001 in Jaisingh Road, New Delhi, 2nd NATTA Himalayan International Travel Mart XVI, NATTA National Convention held in Kathmandu organized by Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) and Youth Festival conducted by Nepal YMCA. He has undergone the training program in Tourism Management & Promotion organized by MSAN at NTB. He has been an active member of Nepal YMCA from 1999 till date.

Kanchan Bala Shahi
Position: Customer Service Officer

Kanchan Bala Shahi is a 4th Batch BTTM student of NATHM who completed her studies in 2009. She took IATA course from NATHM which included Itinerary pricing, ticketing, issuing MCO, BSR Re-issue, Refund and IATA rules and regulations. She also has training of Security Awareness Program conducted by Etihad Airways. She did her internship at Nepal Airlines for about one and half year at the Airport and did the ground handling procedures and check-in processes. Now it has been more than a year she has been working as a Customer Service Officer in Dragon Air.

Bala Krishna Ghale

Company: Ghale Treks & Tours
Batch: 5th

After the completion of BTTM at NATHM I started working at Ghale Treks and Tours with venture company Liberty Holidays Inc. as a manager. I'm also associated with Creative Hands, a non- profitable and non- political organization which works for the differently abled and uneducated people under poverty line in developing country like Nepal.
